Cristian, a California native, established a promotional presence on TikTok and Instagram under the username "tac0syolas” in 2023 with the objective of promoting Mexican regional music and showcasing his Tacoma, as well as those of others. During his content creation for his followers, he conceived the idea of initiating a hat business by incorporating musical instruments onto the hats, similar to Goorin Bros' style, but without the depiction of animals and with a focus on instruments. His enduring passion for musical instruments, particularly guitars, and his lifelong love for music have also been significant sources of inspiration. These passions led him to envision establishing a hat business with a specialized focus on instruments and other music-related merchandise.
In early 2024, he commenced the realization of his ideas by actively seeking out the most suitable hat manufacturers. Despite this, he adeptly managed his academic responsibilities while concurrently juggling two professional commitments. After careful consideration, he decided to name his business "Churro Hats," drawing from the childhood nickname “Churro" given to him by his father.
Today, Cristian is realizing a long-cherished ambition by establishing his own business. With steadfast support from his family and friends, he has successfully ventured into this entrepreneurial pursuit. The quote "El que no arriesga no gana" (He who does not risk does not win) has also served as a motivating force for him to inaugurate his business and foster its growth.
